a comeback...

did you miss me?
well, if you're asking ME if I missed you,
uhmz, i do.
it's been, what?
months for sure.

anyway, MINOZAROCORGEN is back. with some, uhm, new stuffs to share.

i'm currently studying at AMA Computer University (Olongapo Campus) taking up B.S. Computer Science. college is far too different from high school, they say. but with only two and a half months in college,i still am not able to prove it. maybe a couple more months would make me see college the way others see it.

unfortunately for me, i have an hour and a half ride to get to school and another of it to go home, well, that's a good three hour ride each day. oh, what a pity--straining your butt for sitting in for hours while you're trying hard stopping yourself from vomiting what you have had for breakfast. not to mention keeping yourself in the state of sanity even though the smell (of different people, that is) lingering into your nose is driving you nuts.

well, new friends are up (though none of them can ever replace my bff's, namely: MARGARETTE DE LIMA, MARIA ROSAFINA RAMOS, ELOISA MAE NAVALTA). and i've got new a tropa (though they can't replace JIRCGHEM in my HeaRt) which we call 'dem_brattz'. before they called it 'centimotional brattz'. with having two flaws (it must be sentimotional AND emotionals are known for being sentimental), it was decided to change the name.

the dem_brattz are:

  • minozarocorgen (but of course)
  • dyan rochelle freal
  • elaiza ong
  • sally pineda
  • veronica hermogeno
  • phoebe saldivar
  • carmina ortega
  • apple cadungog
  • keeshian san diego
  • angelica gelacio
(i'm not sure bout the spellings, so sorry guys)

acquaintance party was held July 25, 2008. that really is a week (not because of the preparation for the party but for something far too personal to be discussed in a blog). we spent the afternoon planning where to dress up (as i've said earlier, san felipe is an hour and a half from olongapo), and who will apply the makeup on our (regretful) faces.

(the boy is keeshian's bf)
(left-right: dyan, meLai, saLLy, angeLica, eLai, ph0ebe, apPLe, mina, vero)
(the girl across Mark is KeEsh)

anyway, the scores for the NCAE have (FINALLY) arrived.

hate that 72 there. got it from the manipulative tests. manipulative skills are all about tinkering stuffs, of which i really am fancying. how come? awWwWwWwWwtz...

way back into love

well, it's not that i love the song or that i'm going gaga over it. i sang it with greg, a YFC from san antonio, zambales, during the BULILIT PARTY (we always get together during our service). anyway, the song is kinda good (when we sang it. i guess we have a "better" version than hugh and whoever he sang it with. but hey,i'm not being boastful or something.don't get me wrong.). unfortunately, i didn't really know the song, and greg forgot some words. so we sang it this way instead:

i've been living with a shadow overhead
i've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
i've been lonely for so long
trapped in the past i just can't seem to move on

i've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
just in case i ever need them again someday
i'm setting aside time
to clear a little space in the corner of my mind

all i wanna do is find a way back into love
i can't make it true without a way back into love

there are moments when i don't see it's real
or if anybody feel the way i feel
i need inspiration
not just another negotiation

all i wanna do is find a way back into love
i can't make it true without a way back into love
and if i open my heart again
i guess i'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end

okay. i know you don' care about the lyrics of our "OWN" song, but it feels good sharing it.hmmm.okay here's the true lyrics.

[Verse 1]
(Drew Barrymore)
I've been living with a shadow overhead,
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed,
I've been lonely for so long,
Trapped in the past,
I just can't seem to move on!

(Hugh Grant)
I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away,
Just in case I ever need them again someday,
I've been setting aside time,
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind!

[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can't make it through without a way back into love.
Oooooh.

[Verse 2]
(Drew Barrymore)
I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine,
I've been searching but i just don't see the signs,
I know that it's out there,
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere!

(Hugh Grant)
I've been looking for someone to shed some light,
Not somebody just to get me through the night,
I could use some direction,
And I'm open to your suggestions.

[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love.
I can't make it through without a way back into love.
And if I open my heart again,
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end!
Oooooooh, Ooooooh, Ooooooh.

[Middle-eight]
(Drew Barrymore)
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

[Chorus]
(Both)
All I want to do is find a way back into love,
I can't make it through without a way back into love,
And if I open my heart to you,
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do,
And if you help me to start again,
You know that I'll be there for you in the end!
Oooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooooh. Oooooooh. Ooooooh Ooooooooh. Ooooooooh.

and again, here's the vid, of the original song, not of us.

SHOUT

i'm a proud member of YFC or Youth for Christ. It's the world's largest Catholic Youth organization.

God has created the family to be a means by which His Kingdom can be propagated on earth. The family, however, is under attack by evil and divisive forces, which put the Christian life of the families in danger. This situation causes the family to lose its guidance from the Holy Spirit and its personal relationship with Christ.
God has called families to defend themselves more actively against these forces and stand up in defense of other families.
For families to be able to do this, they should be able to see Christian renewal work as holistic – meaning, it includes evangelization, not only of couples, but likewise their children.
CFC-Youth for Christ, being the Young Adults program of Couples for Christ, helps bring the family back into God’s plan, as it becomes the instrument for Christian renewal to other teenagers and young adults.
Conversion is threefold, starting with the young adult as an individual, followed by peer group evangelization and renewal. Thirdly, in line with the vision of CFC, the renewal of peer groups will lead to the renewal of the Church. This pattern is analogous to the renewal pattern for CFC (individuals, Couples and Church).
This goes to say, therefore, that members of CFC-Youth and their parents in CFC are partners in mission, having the same goal in mind, although operating in different social contexts.

CFC-YFC Statement of Vision and Mission

anyway, the best weekend of my life happened as Zambales held its first ever provincial SHOUT or Summer House Training last May 2-4, 2008.

activities were done to prove our worthiness as a part of PCG or Provincial Core Group. I was tagged as someone who doesn't surrender (oh how i'm proud of it).

our first activity is to make a banner using small molded clays pressed into tiny circles. the second one is to go around the city to 'do extraordinary things to ordinary people'. the third one is to build a pyramid made of plastic cups using only a rubber band with five strings attached to it. the fourth one is to squeeze the 14 of us into a narrow passage made of straws without touching the strings. the last one is to turn the paper upside down using only our feet. aren't those tough?

all of these helps us to be patient and be courageous enough to build YFC Zambales.

oh, i'm missing our SHOUT!

Rubik's Cube

i'm somewhat a rubik's cube addict. i've already 'solved' it a lot of times, actually. i'm proud to say i've finished it once within 04:52.94 (yay!!!).

the rubik's has become a craze in our class during our fourth year in high school. i don't really know what pushed me to try and solve the rubik's (i'm sure it's not because of the craze), but i guess i just want to know the feeling after you've solved the cube.

there's a 3x3x3 (the most popular), a 2x2x2, and a 5x5x5 cube. i've found a site that helps solve a 3x3x3 cube. it's a great one. you can easily understand its terminologies and everything. anyway, here's the site:

Denny's solution for solving the 3x3x3 cube.

here are some 'cube facts':

  • Ernő Rubik invented the Cube in the spring of 1974 in his home town of Budapest, Hungary. He wanted a working model to help explain three-dimensional geometry and ended up creating the world’s best selling toy.
  • Rubik’s inspiration for the Cube’s internal mechanism came from pebbles in the River Danube whose edges had been smoothed away.
  • Rubik called his invention the ‘Magic Cube’. It was renamed the Rubik’s Cube by the Ideal Toy Corporation in 1980.
  • More than 300 million Rubik’s Cubes have been sold worldwide. If all the cubes were placed on top of each other they would reach the top of Mount Everest, twice!
  • At the height of the Rubik’s craze in the mid-1980s, it was estimated that one-fifth of the world’s population had played the Cube.
  • ‘Cubing’ still infects people of all ages. ‘Cubaholics’ are said to suffer from ‘Rubik's wrist’ and ‘Cubist's thumb’!
  • Rubik’s Cube has featured in hundreds of books, magazines, movies and even had its own TV series on ABC in America. Millions of web pages, blogs and YouTube videos are now dedicated to cubing.
  • The Cube has inspired everything from fashion, architecture and music to films, plays and political speeches. There is also a dedicated art movement known as ‘Rubikubism’.
  • There are edible cubes, jewel-encrusted Cubes and even MP3 playing cubes! The biggest Cube in the world, on display in Knoxville, Tennessee, is 3 metres tall and weighs over 500kg.
  • National and international ‘speedcubing’ championships have been held regularly since 2003. The World Cube Association now runs competitions where players have to solve the Cube one-handed, as well as having to solve the Cube using only your feet. There is even a competition where players have to solve the Cube as quickly as possibe blindfolded!
  • In May 2007, Thibaut Jacquinot of France became the first person to complete the Cube in under 10 seconds in open competition, setting a world record time of 9.86 seconds. Already beaten three times this year, the current holder is Edouard Chambon of France with a time of 9.18 seconds.
  • The speed Cubing Championships were held in Budapest in October 2007 and were attended by Ernő Rubik himself.
  • In 2007 the Rubik's Cube beat stiff competition to be recognised in the annual CoolBrands list by the Superbrands organisation.
Enjoy!!!!

Naghihintay by Jacob

Here's the song i'm currently listening to. It's entitled Naghihintay by Jacob. I've seen its music video at a CD given by an institute. I'm kinda addicted to it. I love playing the song again and again. Unfortunately for me, I can't get the right strumming for it.

Anyway, here's the lyrics:

Verse 1:

[Repeat Refrain then Chorus 2x]

And here's the video i've been talking about

to serve others

i'm getting pissed off with the news i've just seen earlier.
the first story is about the demolition of a certain place. the place was home for its informal residences for, ahm, 13 or 30 years, i dunno (i've just overheard it). the place will be built with SOCO headquarters, an elementary school, and the other building i didn't know. the said buildings are for the cops.
but hey! cops are there for the people, for the deprived. meaning, they must put the masses first before themselves! but they are the first ones to drive them away!
besides, the informal residences were driven out without given the opportunity to find a new place to stay. they also weren't given a temporary place to stay. too much for the people the cops must (well, i dunno the right term, but i guess) serve.
the second news is about the, ahm, law given by the Department of Health. only 10% of the patients that were to undergo transplants must be foreigners.
doctors' job is to help preserve life, and not to 'reject' patients! they are to serve all kinds of people, no matter what their race is.
one certain hospital didn't approved to this but they can't say no. they were given a cease to decease order (hope i'm right with the term).

***********************************

the government was encouraging us to save money, but those politicians are doing everything but save money! they are pigs making other lives miserable for them to have fun, for them to have everything that they want.
it's not that i hate them, but their ways are killing me!
when will the philippines acquire the true freedom and liberty they are fighting for since the ancients?
